The principle and advantages of tidal seedbeds
Ebb-and-flow seedbeds can be further divided into ground-level ebb-and-flow cultivation beds and seedbed-type ebb-and-flow cultivation beds.

An ebb-and-flow seedbed is a cultivation bed with a plastic surface structure. Its surface uses plastic ebb-and-flow seedling trays; it is also known as a bottom-irrigated cultivation bed.
This type of ebb-and-flow irrigated mobile seedbed uses the same columns and supports as commercially available metal-structured cultivation beds, and the surface uses molded, waterproof plastic seedling trays. During irrigation, the seedling trays are filled with clean water or nutrient solution and left to remain for a certain period, allowing the crops to absorb water through capillary action via the drainage holes at the bottom of the trays. Afterward, the irrigation water is drained from the cultivation bed, either collected for reuse or directly discharged into the local sewer system.
The ebb-and-flow irrigated mobile seedbed is a bottom-watering irrigation method designed for potted plants in nutrient solution cultivation, container seedling production, and soilless cultivation. This method utilizes the principle of water drop to achieve timed watering and fertilization.![]()
